Double Distilled in 1991 this Single Malt was distilled on the island of Ireland. A small batch of crystal malt was distilled as an experimental run and turned out to be one of the best whiskeys from this distillery. It was first matured in a refill bourbon barrel before partly being decanted into an old solera (resized) sherry cask that previously matured Pedro Ximenez sweet sherry in July 2015. To give a few tasting notes, Juicy, rich, full-bodied and succulent. Sweet grapes, fresh figs, honey, demerara sugar and cocoa. Bottle and box in great condition.
